Iris Van Herpen - Voltage - Haute Couture
Iris van Herpen's collection was literary 'electric'. The presentation was kind of surreal in a way, everything, from the pitch-dark room and the golden figure expelling purple thunderbolts, was incredible. I can't help thinking about Tesla's experiments with these creations, they're both thrilling to watch, but almost inexplicable to the eye. You can watch the whole collection here.
We've seen Björk wearing van Herpen's creations several times, and this song in particular adds some energy to the visuals. Enjoy!

Iris Van Herpen - Capriole Haute Couture II
Iris Van Herpen - Capriole Haute Couture
This outfit reminds me of fish bones and vertebrae; the intricate design of this dress is just mind-blowing. 3D printing is redefining the future of fashion, and Iris Van Herpen is leading the way.

Iris Van Herpen - Capriole Haute Couture
Iris Van Herpen - Capriole Haute Couture
Van Herpen's work is fascinating. I like the way she talks about her work and her inspirations; mainly her emphasis on organisms and organic shapes. The first time I saw her work on Björk, it seems both concepts, Björk's most recent album and Iris' vision, mix up rather well. Here's the complete collection.
